Messier Marathon at East Beach
East Beach, Charlestown
March 20, 2010 at 7:00 pm
Dear members and friends, The Messier season is again upon us. The ASNH group has invited us to attend a Messier marathon with them on Friday, March 12. It would be a great opportunity to observe with the New Haven group and the skies are quite dark at the camp site. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with their plans.
The third weekend is also nice to obtain many Messier objects.. There will be as slight chance of some interference due to he moon. Charlestown is a fairly dark site and with a 22% moon it should not be a big concern.
The following information is provided for Charlestown, Washington County, Rhode Island (longitude W71.7, latitude N41.4):

A group of us will be going to East Beach parking lot where we have set up on other occasions.
