President Dave Huestis shows Story the 8.25 President Dave Huestis shows Story the 8.25" Alvan Clark refractor. The instrument was given to Frank Seagrave for his 16th birthday in 1878. The scope was moved from Providence to its' present location in North Scituate Rhode Island in 1914 to escape the glare of the gas lights on Benefit Street.
