Astronomy is usually thought to be just a nighttime activity; but, we have one of the most important astronomical objects over our heads each day: The Sun. Of course, observing it can be difficult, and quite dangerous if precautions are not taken.

Professor Ian Dell’Antonio, of Brown University’s Physics Department, has been observing the sky, both at night and during the day, for many years.  He will introduce you to our daytime star demonstrate safe ways it can be observed.  For all of you who have always been interested in learning more about our Sun, this is your chance.

Also, weather permitting, Seagrave observatory will be open to the public after the workshop is over. You might want to stay and enjoy the sky with others who love looking up.
This program is just $5.00 per person, free to Skyscrapers, Inc., members. For more information, please contact President Bob Horton, at ShootingSta98@gmail.com
