William Vaughan, a graduate student in geological sciences at Brown, will give a talk about what the MESSENGER mission has revealed concerning the interior structure, chemistry, and the geological processes operating on Mercury.
Our June speaker will be David Gow, who did the restoration work on Ladd's clock drive system. All aspects of the conservation will be presented, assessment, working with the Curatorial staff, treatment plan, restoration versus conservation, documentation, and maintenance schedule will be discussed and illustrated.
The name of this Society shall be “Skyscrapers, Inc. (Amateur Astronomical Society of Rhode Island).” The object of this Society shall be to educate the general public and membership on matters pertaining to astronomy. It shall be an educational, nonprofit organization. This Society is incorporated as a non-business corporation under the laws of the State of Rhode Island.
