New Insights from Cassini on the Weird and Wonderful Satellites of Saturn

Dr. Collins is an Associate Professor at Wheaton Collage and graduate of the Brown University Department of Geological Sciences. His most recent publication is a new study in the journal Icarus suggesting that there may be a sea of water trapped beneath the icy surface of Saturn’s moon Enceladus and what this implies for the possibility of life on other worlds.

On the night of February 20-21, we will have an opportunity to observe a total lunar eclipse in its entirety. And we will not have to stay up until the wee hours of the morning, for totality will be over before 11:00 pm.
