Comet 17P/Holmes

On Wednesday, October 24, 2007 an obscure periodic comet Holmes experienced a sudden flare-up, bringing it from 17th magnitude to a 2.5 in just a few hours. The comet remains visible to the naked eye in Perseus.

I was on 17p until around 2:20 this morning.
I was also using the piggybacked scope to take an image every 10 min.
Attached is an animated GIF constructed with these images.
There isn't much but you can see some movement during the (approx.) 4 hours.

The image is from around 10:00pm thru 2:20 AM this morning.
