Alan Hirshfeld. Hirshfeld, professor of Physics at UMass Dartmouth and associate of the Harvard College Observatory, gave us a presentation about "The Universe In The Mirror. George Ellery Hale and The Rise Of Modern Astronomy." This talk was in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Mount Wilson Observatory and the 100" Hooker reflector.
Hirshfeld also sold and signed copies of his book "Parallax: The Race To Measure The Cosmos."
