Seagrave Memorial Observatory joins observers across the world in celebrating our nearest neighbor, the Moon. Throughout the night, both the facility’s telescopes and those of many of the organization’s members will be introducing you to the stark beauty of our only natural satellite.

Also, at 7:00 P.M., Kim Arcand, Visualization Lead for NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory will speak on “3D Printing the Universe.” In addition to showing 3D printed plates of the Moon, she will also have images of her research concerning supernovas.

To aid in your enjoyment of your lunar observations, Skyscraper member Conrad Cardano will also speak on the major features of the Moon, its maria and craters, and how they they were formed.

Come share the evening with us and observers around the globe!
