Observing through new horizons after Meeting

Observing through new horizons after Meeting

by Jim Hendrickson

The weather was clear all day Saturday with above average transparency. Following the July cookout and meeting we gathered in the Clark dome and observed, among other things, the Moon, Saturn, Alberio and M57. Some of our targets were made accessible by the recently cleared eastern horizon as for the first time in decades, the entire Summer Triangle was visible in the early evening in early July. In attendance were Alex Bergmann Craig Cortis, Jim Hendrickson, Dave Huestis, Francine Jackson.
