Dr. Ken Kremer will present a talk titled “Exploring Mars and the Search for Life-3D"

Dr. Kremer will explain the discoveries of the Curiosity rover’s amazing expedition of many miles across the surface of the Red Planet. He will show his up close visits with Curiosity in the clean room and launch pad photos from the Kennedy Space Center, and his custom created Curiosity, Spirit and Opportunity panoramas and APODs and conclude with spectacular 3-D images to witness the Martian surface

Ken will also describe how the public can see the upcoming Antares rocket launch from Virginia to the International Space Station.  Ken is a scientist and journalist and his Mars and Space imagery and articles have been widely published on TV, magazines, books and websites including NBC, CBS, BBC, ABC and Fox News, PBS NOVA TV, Scientific American, NASA, National Geographic, SPACE.com, Spaceflight Now, Universe Today, his new website Space UpClose and much more. 

Ken will display a selection of his Rocket, Space and Mars imagery for sale.

Space Shuttle technician Jean Wright will briefly discuss her role as a NASA thermal protection specialist and display her custom space apparel for sale.

Dr. Ken Kremer is a research chemist, space/science journalist and founder of Space UpClose website reporting up close on all things related to NASA and Space Exploration.

Ken has over 30 years experience in Research and Development in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences in academia and at Cyanamid, Wyeth and Pfizer.  Products he helped develop are sold in the marketplace to benefit humanity.

Ken received his BA from New York University in New York City and PhD from the State University of New York in Stony Brook. He did Post Doctoral studies at the University of Bonn in Germany 

Dr. Kremer holds 17 US Patents, has over 3 dozen scientific publications, written over 1000 space articles and has 14 published APODs – Astronomy Pictures of the Day.

Ken also has a 2 decade career in space journalism and outreach.

Ken was recently awarded NASA’s rarely given Curiosity medallion by NASA’s Chief Scientist for his science outreach efforts and Mars panoramas.

He appears as a space expert commentator on BBC TV and Radio News, Fox News, NBC, ABC, CBS, Spectrum, ARD, i24 and other major news outlets. He has presented hundreds of space lectures at astronomy clubs and forums, schools, educational and religious institutions, companies and conventions.

Ken has created hundreds of custom Mars rover mosaics to show what the Red Planet looks like from a human perspective. His Mars rover, rocket and spacecraft imagery have been widely published in many news outlets and science journals. He serves as a NASA Solar System Ambassador.

He has witnessed over 100 rocket launches as well as reported and photographed numerous rockets and spacecraft from NASA and America's top rocket manufacturing companies including SpaceX, ULA, Boeing and Northrop Grumman. 

Ken has reported from inside the flight decks and cargo bays of all 3 NASA space shuttle orbiters, been up close in the clean room with NASA's Curiosity Mars rover, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, TESS Exoplanet hunter, OSIRIS REX asteroid sampler and many more. 

His goal is to educate and excite the public about science and space exploration.
