Workshop: Introducing the Night SKy

Saturday, December 16, 2017, 6:00 pm

Seagrave Memorial Observatory

Francine Jackson

Have you ever looked up at the night sky, and wondered what stars you were seeing? What constellation patterns are being made overhead? Skyscraper member Francine Jackson will introduce you to the skies of late autumn and winter, by showing you, step by step, how, by beginning at the Big Dipper, to find your way through the nighttime sky, using a free computer program, Stellarium.

The event is free and open to the public. Following the presentation, weather-permitting, the telescopes at Seagrave Observatory will be open for viewing.
